About the Author

Charles Piper is a certified fraud examiner (CFE), private investigator (PI), consultant, trainer, and retired federal agent. He has over 35 years of successful investigative experience in the public and private sectors. Piper has conducted investigations from coast to coast and in Europe resulting in criminal and civil prosecutions of wrongdoers and the recovery of millions of dollars. As a federal agent, Piper conducted numerous large-scale and high-profile investigations. Several of these investigations received repeated national media coverage. Piper also provided investigative assistance into the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on America.

Prior to operating as a PI and consultant, Piper served for several decades in law enforcement. He got his start in the U.S. Army in the Military Police Corps and was promoted to the rank of sergeant, where he served as a patrol supervisor and Military Police investigator. His seven years of military service included two-and-a-half years in Germany. Piper next served as a metropolitan police officer, supervisory detective, and for over 20 years as a federal agent, where his office assignments included: Memphis, Tennessee; Orlando, Florida; and Las Vegas, Nevada.
