The Patent and How to Initiate It

The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), an integral part of the U.S. Department of Commerce, is the most recognized authority on patents and trademarks in the U.S. The USPTO is also the center for filing of patents and trademarks.

Normally, inventors who file patents will do this through an authoritative source, such as a licensed patent attorney or patent engineer. This intermediate filing source is paramount due to the fact of the specific language that has to be created in order to protect the filing's claims and teachings. For more information on this and how to file, please visit the USPTO at www.uspto.gov for further instructions on how to initiate the filing.
