Introduction

Planning is the act of formulating a course of action, of creating a roadmap to what the future should be. As a student, you should plan when you will take specific courses in order to graduate on time. Once you graduate, you will hopefully begin to plan for a financially secure retirement. Planning, as it relates to the infrastructure, is the act of formulating a specific course of action for future roadway expansions, wastewater treatment facility upgrades, airport runway expansions, and the like.
