ASHOK NAMDEV KAMTHANE obtained his M.E. (Electronics) degree in first class from S.G.G.S. College of Engineering and Technology, Nanded. He was a meritorious student throughout his academic career, and has bagged a number of prizes for his works. He carried out his M.E. (Electronics) dissertation work at the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Trombay, and was associated with the development of hardware and software using 8051 (8-bit microcontroller) on Acoustic Transceiver System required in submarines.
