3. Animating Objects
Edge Animate Version 1 offers four built-in tools for creating elements for your animations: the Text tool, the Rectangle tool, the Rounded Rectangle tool and the Ellipse tool. We’ll explore the Text tool in Chapter 4, but for now let’s concentrate on objects. As I mentioned earlier, the Rectangle, Rounded Rectangle and Ellipse tools are basically interchangeable. They all create simple div elements, albeit one creates divs featuring rounded corners, while the other creates elliptical ones. But remember, roundness is one of the attributes that can be edited and animated, and all rectangular elements can be converted from rectangular to rounded or elliptical and back again, as desired.
