INTRODUCTION

Data structures with their related operations and applications form an essential component of studies in computing. This book and its accompanying materials result from experience of teaching the subject to undergraduates on a range of computing courses over a number of years. It uses a clear and concise approach in order to provide a sound foundation for students at the undergraduate or equivalent level and a supporting resource for teachers called on to deliver the subject for the first time or, indeed, for anyone wishing to get to grips quickly with the subject matter.
