Worksharing

Worksharing in Autodesk Revit Architecture is a feature that allows multiple users to access and edit one Revit project file. It allows multiple team members to concurrently work on the same Revit project and keep changes synchronized.

While employing much of a data structure similar to a database, Revit uses a file-based approach to store projects. In a single-user scenario, one Revit user can edit a Revit file and it becomes read-only for any other Revit user trying to access the file (e.g., over a corporate network).
