If there is a single overriding theme that presents itself in this final part of the book, it may well be the appearance of these emerging technologies converging to achieve a common goal. Collectively, these technologies can be seen to be attempting to remove as many of the conventional barriers as possible, that are typically presented to users, when trying to access information and communication systems.

The Utopian view is that information should be accessed according to the Martini principle i.e.‘…any time, any place, anywhere’.
