Exit Interviews

Perhaps the least discussed kind of interviewing occurs when an individual leaves an organization— either voluntarily or by request. Known as exit interviews, discussions with an employee on his or her way out can provide valuable information about the health and well being of an organization, as well as offer the employee an opportunity to vent about how he or she has been treated.

Although generally handled by an organization's HR Department, data obtained from an exit interview needs to be provided to the responsible unit(s) where the employee worked.
