The LISP interpreter presented below consists of three major subroutines : sread, seval, and swrite. The sread procedure reads input text, decomposes it into atom names and punctuation characters, enters all the new ordinary atoms and new number atoms that are encountered into the atom table and the number table, respectively, and constructs an S-expression representing the input.
