As societies become more deeply connected through trade, information, and cultural exchange, the importance of interoperability among the legal systems that regulate the global flow of information continues to grow. Just as we work toward optimal technical interoperability when data flow across systems, we need to be smart about the design of laws when information travels across jurisdictions.
