Chapter 12. Using Wireless Networks to Extend VoIP

You have another possibility when it comes to extending VoIP service inside your home. We broke it out into a different chapter because it is a more expensive option, but it does solve a specific problem.

Suppose that you need to have your VoIP terminal adapter in a different room of the house than your Internet access. The methods described in Chapter 11, “Making VoIP Accessible Throughout Your Home,” of using either cordless phones or existing house wiring could be options. But suppose neither of those solutions was acceptable.
