Summary

In this chapter, we learned about DC motors, LEDs, the L293D motor driver IC, and the mqtt.fx web client.

We interfaced LED to the Raspberry Pi directly and interfaced the DC motor to the Raspberry Pi with the help of the L293D motor driver IC. Then, by implementing the MQTT protocol for communication, we controlled the motion and direction of the motor rotation using the mqtt.fx web client. We have achieved our goal and successfully have controlled the motor and LEDs interfaced with the Raspberry Pi remotely over the internet.

In Chapter 6, Security Surveillance, we will build next project which is a security surveillance system to protect your home/premises from intruders. We will use Raspberry Pi, camera module, and motion sensor ...
