Summary

In this chapter, we saw how to build a cloud gardening project based on the ESP8266WiFi chip. You learned how to create alerts for your plants or garden, how to monitor them from anywhere, and how to make sure the water pump is automatically activated when the humidity gets too low.

You can of course take what you learned in this chapter and go much further with it. It would, for example, be really easy to just add more units to the project, and monitor several plants at once in different locations.

In the next chapter, we are going to build yet another project using what we learned so far about the ESP8266: a complete home automation system that we will control and monitor from the cloud.
