Internet of Things with Python

Summary

In this chapter, we understood the close relationship between Internet of Things and Big Data. We worked with a cloud-based service that allowed us to organize huge amounts of data collected by multiple devices and their sensors. We took advantage of the requests package to write a few lines of Python code that could interact with the Intel IoT Analytics REST API.

We used the Intel IoT Analytics web site to set up a device and its components. Then, we made changes to one of our examples to collect data from the sensors and publish observations to Intel IoT Analytics.
