Microsoft Data Access Components

Most Internet Information Services Web developers will store data in either a Microsoft SQL Server database or a Microsoft Access database. To provide access to this data, Microsoft offers a set of components appropriately called Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC). MDAC provides a set of relatively easy-to-use, high-performance components that grant a Web developer access to all types of data on a network. If Web developers are creating client/server and network-based data-driven solutions, they will most likely use these components to easily integrate information from a variety of sources, both relational and nonrelational.
