SendMail Components
SendMail components are more often than not used on UNIX-based systems; however, these also are available for use with Windows 2000 and Internet Information Services. The best and safest thing is to do your research before installing and configuring these components for use on your server. Once installed, these components require little to no administration.
This section discusses only two of Microsoft's SendMail components: Collaboration Data Objects and the component included with FrontPage 2000. There are certainly other options, which cannot all be listed here, but you may want to compare AspMail at www.serverobjects.com and other options from The ASP Resource Index at Aspin.com.
