Server Extensions

Internet Information Services 5 introduced one new Web site configuration tab in the IIS snap-in of the Microsoft Management Console. The Server Extensions tab separates the configuration for a Web site that has been extended by using the Server Extensions of Microsoft FrontPage2000. FrontPage Server Extensions are a set of programs used to take full advantage of FrontPage2000. These programs can help manage, create, and view a FrontPage-extended Web site.

A check box at the top of this tab is used to enable authoring. When this box is checked, the FrontPage Extensions are enabled, including allowing a remote administrator to access and modify the selected Web site. Additional configuration on this tab affects mail options ...
