Managing Internet Information Services

Internet Information Server 5 provides a several options for managing your Web server. This section briefly describes three of those options.

Microsoft Management Console

Beginning with Internet Information Server 4, Internet Information Services provides a snap-in to the Microsoft Management Console (MMC). The IIS snap-in replaces the Internet Server Manager that shipped with previous versions of Internet Information Server, although the Start menu program still reads Internet Server Manager.
