Installing or Removing IPv6

When you initially install IPv6 on a computer in your network, be sure to install it first in a test environment so that you can configure and test the IPv6 protocol before installing it in your production environment. For more information about setting up a test lab, including typical test lab tasks and a sample infrastructure, see "Setting up an IPv6 test lab" in Help and Support Center for Windows Server 2003.

To install IPv6

  1. In Control Panel, double-click Network Connections.

  2. Right-click any local area connection, and then click Properties.

  3. Click Install.

  4. In the Select Network Component Type dialog box, click Protocol, and then click Add.
