The international management literature does not typically examine the detailed level of operations whereas the operations management literature does not typically examine international influences in much depth. A much richer understanding can be accomplished by combining these different perspectives and, therefore, this book on international operations. At this point I would like to draw attention to a few items. First, many examples are provided in the book and many of those are based on personal experiences. As times change, so do environments.
