The civil court system in Malaysia is divided into the Subordinate Courts and the Superior Courts. Briefly, the Superior Courts consist of the Appellate Courts (Federal Court, the Court of Appeal) and the High Court while the Subordinate Courts consist of the Sessions Court and the Magistrates Court.
