Appendix B ATSC Service Information

OCAP networks will use the ATSC Program and Service Information Protocol (PSIP) to carry information about the services and events on the network. This appendix provides an introduction to PSIP, and examines the format of the various PSIP tables we may find in an OCAP network. We will also examine how the use of PSIP in an OCAP system differs from PSIP in other types of networks.
