19 Deploying MHP and OCAP

Although deploying an open standard middleware solution is similar to deploying other DTV solutions, there are a number of differences we need to take into account. In this chapter we will look at the challenges facing operators deploying MHP, both from the commercial and technical sides. We discuss the differences in business models, in interoperability testing, and in the broadcast chain itself, and also look at the practical issues with moving to MHP or OCAP.
