ADSL (asymmetrical digital subscriber line)

A version of DSL. Called asymmetric because it carries a faster connection towards the customer (downstream) than towards the exchange (upstream). See also DSL.

Analogue

In television terms, a method of storing or transmitting information, such as video pictures, in the form of variable waves. Typically used in traditional television broadcasts over the air or through cable.
