Providing closure means wrapping up your lecture presentation in ways that help students feel as though it has come to a satisfying finish. Thoughtful endings promote the perception that the lecture is a complete, balanced unit. When abrupt endings can feel brusque and disquieting, more intentional endings can feel fulfilling and encourage students to want to come back to the next class session.
