Wireless Networks

6.1 Introduction

Much like the landline technologies, wireless technologies have also evolved from analog to digital framework. The older networks evolved to be analog and suffered from all the usual drawbacks, and are less favored. As the digital wireless architectures, devices, standards, and VLSI chips have become, and are currently becoming, available, the emphasis has shifted to all-digital wireless networks.
