Coprocessor System Software

The unique thing to many first introduced to the Intel® Xeon Phi™ coprocessor operational software environment and architecture is its intentional goal to not be unique. Because it is designed as an attached device, one could mistakenly assume the coprocessor must solely operate as a peripheral device in a master-slave relationship with its host platform processor like a network card, or an FPGA, or GPU-based computational accelerator.
