Use this checklist as a guide to ensure your objectives are complete and accurate.

Performance Statement

• □ Does it have a subject, performance-oriented verb, and object?

• □ Is it related to the condition and standard?

• □ Does it use specific, measurable action words?

• □ If two or more verbs are used, do they relate to each other?

Condition Statement

• □ Does it specify what tools or reference sources students will and will not be allowed to use?

• □ Does it specify the environment in which they will perform the task?
