We have looked at defining, designing, and developing the training program. Now we need to see if it does what we want it to do. This is another phase during which the course designer has less control—much as with the defining phase (Chapter 1). This is also when the instructor and the learners have the most accountability and when the training is most visible. Thus, this chapter focuses on the evaluation of training programs and their subsequent learner outcomes.
