Porting a desktop app to a Windows Store app (Become an expert)

In this recipe, you will learn how to convert existing code to a Windows Store app for Windows 8. You can't simply convert the code line-by-line; you should redesign the user interface for the Windows Store app. When you are migrating your desktop apps to Windows Store apps, the first thing is to evaluate the reusable code in your application. Not all of the code can be re-used, so you can separate the application code into the UI logic and business logic code. For Windows Store apps, the Model View View-Model (MVVM) design pattern is recommended to isolate the view and the model.
