Creating asynchronous operations (Should know)

Asynchronous programming enables apps to continue to be responsive to user input without disturbing the main flow of the program. The long-running tasks remain in the background without disturbing the other system operations, and you receive the results later. You receive the progressive notifications for if the task is cancelled or is running. By using Windows Runtime asynchronous APIs, your code consistently makes unblocked calls and threads need not be managed explicitly.
