Getting the Good Stuff In
Now it’s time to discuss the NLE workflow and how to import the media you need for your project, organize it, and prepare to start editing.
Off to Workflow we Go
Before you can begin using these powerful software NLEs, it’s helpful to understand the process, or workflow. There are three main steps: manage all the resources, bring them together into a coherent and appealing aural and visual experience, and output the finished project.
Step One: Manage Resources
Gather the material you need (video, stills, graphics, etc.)
Log your video footage by watching the video and making notes.
Import the video clips into the computer.
Import other media to the computer.
Create or find other necessary material.
