Adding Metadata to a Template

When you save your template, some metadata (file information) is automatically saved with the file, including a thumbnail preview, its color swatches, and a list of the fonts being used. You can add additional metadata to your template by choosing File > File Info.

The File Info dialog contains several sections where you can enter various types of metadata; however, you don’t need to fill in all the available fields. In fact, most of the sections are used for viewing metadata in the graphics and images that are linked to an InDesign document.
