13. Adding Support for Long Documents
PRODUCING LONG DOCUMENTS, SUCH AS BOOKS, CATALOGS, AND JOURNALS can be demanding work. If the template you’re designing will be used to construct a long document, you’ll want to incorporate several production-enhancing features into it, depending on the needs of the publication. Will it contain a lot of tables or figures that need to be carefully numbered? Will it require footnotes at the bottom of the page? Will you have to produce complex multilevel lists or generate a table of contents? If so, read on.
