Essential Paragraph Formatting
Paragraph-level formatting is applied to individually selected paragraphs or a range of selected paragraphs. Keep in mind it’s not necessary to select all the text in a paragraph to apply formatting to it. Instead, just place your cursor anywhere within the paragraph.
Tip
Choose Show Options from the Paragraph panel menu to display all the available formatting controls.
To access InDesign’s paragraph formatting controls, you can use either the Paragraph panel or Control panel (Figure 10.13). To access the controls in the Control panel, activate the Type tool and click the Paragraph Formatting Controls button at the top-left side of the panel.
