Essential Character Formatting

Character-level formatting is applied to individually selected characters or a range of selected text. To access InDesign’s character formatting controls, you can use either the Character panel or Control panel (Figure 10.1). To access the controls in the Control panel, activate the Type tool and click the Character Formatting Controls button at the top-left side of the panel.
