Guides and Pasteboard Preferences

When constructing a layout grid, you can choose to use different colors for margin and column guides, or even the bleed and slug guides. For instance, you might decide to change the color of the column guides from violet to a less prominent color to make it easier to see the layout when the guides are showing. You can even change the preview background color to make it easier to distinguish between the pasteboard and your layout when Preview mode is on. Black works well for making your design stand out.
