Numerically Resize Frames

When you know the exact size you want a frame to be, you can enter the Width and Height values (W: and H: fields) into the Transform or Control panel. You can enlarge a selected frame equally around all sides by setting the reference point to the center point and then entering new Width and Height values.

Tip

You can type a specific distance, such as 1in or 6p, in the Scale X Percentage and Scale Y Percentage fields.

When you want to scale a frame to specific percentages, you can enter the values into the Scale X Percentage and Scale Y Percentage fields. To maintain the original proportions of the frame, make sure the Constrain Proportions For Scaling icon is selected before scaling it (Figure 6.16).
