There are two ways to install Geany: from the Package Manager or compiling from source. The former is the easiest and the fastest way. The latter is helpful when you want to use the latest release that has not appeared in the package manager yet, or when the one in the Package Manager doesn't work on your machine.
Look for a program named
Console in your machine.
Type a short command to get the Package Manager to perform all the necessary steps (downloading Geany and its dependencies and install them).
