Working with grid panels, stores, and paging (Intermediate)

We are now going to look at probably one of the most widely used Ext.NET controls that you will use to display lists of data—GridPanel.

GridPanel is a quick and easy control to get up and running to display lists of data. It combines with another Ext.NET control called the store, which contains the collection of data rendered in the grid panel and is accessible via JavaScript.

In this recipe, we will create a list containing a custom object and bind it to a store that the grid panel will use.

And finally, we'll take a look at paging data on the client side and using the server. We'll also discuss the pros and cons of paging on the client-side and server-side and where to use both.
