Developing a web application that works well for mobile web and desktop browsers is a visual and technical challenge. More and more developers are beginning to use both a mobile-specific framework (that is, jQuery Mobile) and a desktop-specific framework (that is, Twitter Bootstrap) to support as many devices as possible.

Because of performance concerns on mobile devices, it is important for applications to only include the necessary assets/resources for each device.
