What you need for this book

At the very minimum, you'll need a text editor and a browser. Most of the recipes won't need to be run on a web server, other than the two recipes that incorporate AJAX. For the others, you can simply save your .html files and use your browser of choice to open them locally.

At a maximum, you'll want a web server (for example, Microsoft IIS, Apache, Nginx) and a database (for example, SQL Server, MySQL, PostGreSQL).
