After Effects
Adobe After Effects is a fantastic compositing and effects application capable of doing many of the same things as Boris Red and FX. For this reason, you may wonder why Boris applications would plug into it and why a book about one program would contain a chapter about that product’s competitor. The reason is that while these applications may compete for sales at some levels, they actually work very well together. In this chapter we’ll explore the process of applying Boris effects through Adobe After Effects as well as some information on plug-ins that work in both applications. We’ll also briefly show you the limitations of each program and why they work so well together.
