Syncing ACID with Other Programs
ACID is a very powerful music composition tool all by itself, but it also interfaces well with other tools you may want to use. You can link ACID to other programs, using ReWire, MIDI timecode (MTC), or MIDI clock. ACID 4 can act as a ReWire mixer (host), while ACID 5 adds the ability to act as a ReWire device (client). This greatly extends your options for using ACID with other applications.
Using ACID as a ReWire Mixer (Host)
When ACID is used as a ReWire mixer, the ReWire client device is used just like any other Soft Synth in ACID. For this example we will use Propeller-head’s Reason, but any ReWire client device will work in a similar manner.
