Creating Your Own Loops

Part of ACID’s power is the ability to create your own loops, whether they be from existing content or your own content. This chapter will outline several different techniques that will not only let you create your own loops but also ACIDize them, a process that will add a chunk of data to your samples so that they will time-stretch to any tempo and key-stretch to any key properly.

Choping to a New Track Using the Chopper

To chop to a new track using the Chopper:

1.  Bring up the Chopper window by pressing Alt+2 on your keyboard.

2.  Click and drag on the waveform to make a selection.

3.  Right-click the selection and select Chop to New Track.

4.  Give the new track a name (or accept the default)

5.  Click Save. ...
