Distribution
In the Distribution subtask developers define the form for the installer to be distributed. Developers can build and optimize an installer on one or more CD-ROM disks, for use over the Web, or to be launched from an HTML file.
The Distribution subtask also enables developers to build and optimize merge modules and templates.
Web Installers
The Web installer is a single executable file that contains all of the necessary installation logic. Building the Web installer also generates an HTML page and embedded Java applet to make downloading the installer over the Web easy.
