Appendix A. The XML 1.0 Specification

This appendix lists the W3C XML 1.0 recommendation from http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-xml and was written by the authors listed at the end of the appendix. Note that formal syntax of XML is given using a simple Extended Backus-Naur Form notation (EBNF). This notation is explained in Section 6 of the appendix.
