7.6. Management Command-Line Utilities

Windows 2000 introduced a trend to have both GUI and command-line tools for systems management. Windows Server 2003 continues that theme with command-line tools available for managing the following:

  • File system features, including defragmentation

  • Volume shadow copy service

  • Volumes, disks, and partitions

  • Remote Storage Services (RSS)
