Configuring a Remote Access Server

With the preliminaries and theory out of the way, it's time to prepare a server for dial-in access. The Routing and Remote Access Services (RRAS) service is installed by default but it is kept in a disabled state until needed.

The RRAS service is managed via the Routing and Remote Access Services console, Rrasmgmt.msc. You can manage all servers running RRAS from a single console as long as you have administrator rights on the servers themselves. You cannot manage desktop connections from the RRAS console.
